SAVE THE DATE: May 4, 2017 National Day of Prayer Community Breakfast
The BCFS System leadership has elected to host and sponsor a community breakfast in Abilene in support of the 2017 National Day of Prayer. Created in 1952 and signed into law by President Truman, the National Day of Prayer is an inspiring way to bring people of all faiths together to pray and mobilize with a common focus.
More details on the National Day of Prayer event will be forthcoming in a formal invitation. Of course, there is no cost to attend this breakfast gathering, as the event is being sponsored by our parent organization. We will, however, be passing the plate for a love offering for “Our House,” the transitional home for homeless youth operated by BCFS-Abilene.
The BCFS System is pleased to be a part of the Abilene community and to provide services and resources to the Big Country. On behalf of the BCFS System President, Kevin C. Dinnin, I hope you will be able to join us on the National Day of Prayer as we give thanks for the blessings bestowed upon our nation and to ask for God’s grace to be upon our nation and the community of Abilene.
